Sun and Photoaging

Sun damaged skin can be rejuvenated with devices that use exfoliative techniques such as microdermabrasion products. Your skin naturally shows signs of aging as the years pass. A sure way to speed up this process is exposure to the sun. Exposure to UV light can accelerate this process and make your appearance seem older than you are. Skin changes caused by exposure to the sun are called photoaging.

The Results of Photoaging Include:

  • Weakening of connective tissues, which reduces the skin's strength and elasticity (collagen and elastin) which take the form of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Large brown lesions on your face, back of hands, arms, chest and upper back
  • Fine red veins on your cheeks, nose and ears
  • Freckles, mostly on your face and shoulders
  • Thinner, more translucent-looking skin
  • Dry, rough skin
  • Deep wrinkles

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion removes dead skin cells from the outer layers of your skin, leaving it softer and smoother.  Removing these dead skin cells thickens the epidermis and stimulates new cell growth which in turn increases the production of collagen and elastin. The good news is that even if you have sun damaged skin, microdermabrasion can rejuvenate your skin to its young, healthy luster.

Ultrasound

Ultrasonic therapy is increases blood supply which promotes healing, pain-killing effects on muscle spasms, softening and healing of scar tissue. Although invisible to the eye and undetectable by your skin, the Ultrasonic / Ultrasound Beauty Devices radiate micro-vibrations, help stimulate the body's recovery from illness and injury.
